Summer 2008 in Santa Fe, New Mexico

A New Native Film Festival and Conference is launched...

5 World Premieres ~ 2 US Premieres ~ 78 films in Juried Competition

We have joined with Indigenous filmmakers globally, to present a unique framework of film, panel discussions and workshops weaving together advanced technology and the ancient form of storytelling.

Come join celebrated storytelling, poets, musicians, actors, and people of the Land, as we weave stories on to the screen.

Experience the changing face of cinema as it gives a new voice to a Native perspective of living.  Open your understanding to the messages given in the visualizing power of storytelling.

107 films are presented from both well-known and emerging artists focusing on themes that are important to both Indigenous and non-indigenous Peoples.  This is for and about the future of all humanity.  The Festival spotlights Indigenous Poets, Screenwriters, Directors, Producers, and Actors who have made it happen and look at unique and successful collaborations with the non-native film industry.

Ecological, social and political issues affecting the survival of all peoples are featured in the inaugural year of the Talking Stick Film Festival.  Join us.
